Normally I don't indulge my inner cowgirl, but since i'm out in the "wild west" right now, i couldn't help it! For today's outfit, i took elements from the classic American wardrobe and mixed them with some more contemporary pieces to create a really fun look. The cowboy hat was actually passed down from my grandfather! Oh how i love vintage:)
WHAT I'M WEARING:
peek-a-boo back dress | monteau los angeles | cowboy boots | vintage pastel bracelets | cowboy hat
Until next time cowboy..

Orange & Pearls
Funny story: A few days ago, my sister, mother, grandmother, and I went out for a shopping trip. My sister was trying to help my mom update her wardrobe, so she picked out some clothes for my mother to try on. One of the pieces she choose was a cotton blouse with bright orange trim, which the three other girls thought was the most ugly thing we'd ever seen! As a joke, i decided to try it on and see if i could make it "cute." I ended up liking it so much that i bought it for myself! Here i paired it with a vintage pearl necklace i recently picked up at a thrift store, my trusty high - waisted shorts, and my new favorite pair of chunky high heels.
WHAT I'M WEARING:
high-waisted shorts [charlotte russe] orange - trim blouse [Valerie Bartinelli] chunky striped heels [Madden Girl] vintage faux pearl choker

A Pop of Turquoise
First off, it's been a crazy summer so far so i apologize for the limited number (also known as zero) posts so far! I promise i will try to post some more in the future. :) Today i'm wearing an outfit perfect for going out in the summertime; not too fancy and cumbersome but still super cute! I'm also trying to channel the neon trend a little with a bright pop of color in my blouse and lips. I've been having camera trouble lately, so that's what's going on with the poor quality shots. First my good camera goes missing, then my back - up quits working after a few photos! I managed to come up with a few that show off the outfit though, so here goes!
WHAT I'M WEARING:
turquoise blouse [charlotte russe] dark - wash shorts [dELiA's] polka dot circle bag [COTTON ON] lipstick in "siren" [REVLON] vintage pearl necklace

Under the Tuscan Sun
There is no way i was going to go all the way to Italy without doing some serious shopping, so a few days ago i convinced the family to take a trip to the local mall. Can i just say that i LOVE European fashion?! I came back with a selection of fabulous pieces that really seemed to embody Italian style. Look out for them in the next couple of weeks! For now, i'm wearing an amazing pair of rose-colored shorts, gorgeous bow sandals, and a scarf all from wonderful Italia.
WHAT I'M WEARING:
pink shorts [Bershka] black tee [OP] bow sandals [ZARA] owl necklace [Claire's] multi - colored scarf

La Moda di Venezia
I've entered the land of fairytale towns, stunning vistas, and of course amazing food - Italy! It's more beautiful than i could have ever imagined. My first stop was Venice, so i thought i would post about Venetian fashion. Although Italy is still, of course, a westernized country, it's sense of style is surprisingly different from that of the states! A couple things that stood out to me:
And here's my Venice - inspired outfit! All photo credit goes to my lovely sister Christine.
WHAT I'M WEARING:
Pinstripedskirt. [Jay Jay's] Leather jacket. [Forever 21] Charcoal leggings. [rue21]. Venetian scarf and ring.
Ta - ta for now! Next stop, Lake Como.
XOXO,
Jenny
- Venetians love their denim! I always thought a denim jacket and jeans was the very epitome of bad 90's fashion, yet the people here pull it off quite well. The denim also tends to be on the lighter side and often is distressed. Skinny jeans and high top sneakers (or heals) is all the rage!
- Scarves and leather jackets are very popular.
- I noticed a definite trend in makeup. Often, women wear simple eye makeup with a bright lip color - it's quite stunning!
- Hair is often worn naturally with little flat ironing or curling. Rather than looking unkempt, this style actually seems to fit well by offsetting the "preppier" clothing style.
- Revelation by my sister: The US's hipsters are just Europeans stuck in the wrong country! Their ways of dressing, at least, are very similar.
A billboard at the airport. Just got off the plane and already loving the fashion!
It was difficult to get a very good picture, but i just love her outfit! Pirate pants anyone?
Natural hair and makeup + bright lipstick
Now that is a major hat!
Hot or not?
Epic boots strike again
Venetian ring

Happy Valentines Day from....Pan Am!
Right now i'm in love with the new show Pan Am - not only is it a fun story, but the fashion is amazing! Pencil skirts, pearls, winged eyeliner...oh my:) I couldn't help but want to post a Pan Am inspired outfit! Combine that with Valentines Day, and you come up with this look. It's pretty simple, but i think the dress speaks for itself. I'm wearing my usual pearl necklace and black ruffle pumps, and of course my floral Forever 21 dress. Hope ya'll like it!
XOXO Jenny
P.S. For the record, i hate Valentine's Day;)
The necklace is that same pearl one - this time i just looped it around twice to create a choker:)
